The Chef and The Gardener, aka Stephen Lunn and Phil Shanny, made their cooking show debut at Springfest 2015, Royal Hobart Botanical Gardens Tasmania. An enthusiast and appreciative crowd watched intently as Stephen and Phil turned freshly grown produce into gourmet creations. Invited to be part of this year’s Springfest celebration, and with perfect Spring weather bringing Hobartians out in their thousands, the duo interacted with the audience as they answered questions about both the produce being used and the dishes being prepared. Attendees were invited to try the two dishes prepared, with positive feedback and comments on the taste, texture and freshness of the dishes.
Stephen Lunn is a well known Hobart Chef and operator of the Chefaholic Cooking School, which he operates from his property at Cambridge. Phil Shanny has been working in the hospitality industry for many years and operates a market garden from his Acton property near Hobart. Together, Stephen and Phil show how easy it is to grown your own produce and turn it into healthy dishes that anyone can create.
