OK, mark the dates in your diary – Dark Mofo is being held 16-21 June 2016.

Dark Mofo is Mona’s midwinter festival held in SOuthern Tasmania. Dark Mofo is an annual celebration of large-scale public art, food, film, music, light and noise – lots of noise to stir up the normally drab Hobart winter landscape. Dark Mofo runs June 10-21 across Hobart – major exhibitions will be held at  Mona and Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery together with for the first time a new exhibition being held at the historic mental health facility Willow Court at New Norfolk. This year there will also be a public art playground at Dark Park and a series of international music shows at the Odeon Theatre. MAC2 and Federation Concert Hall, the annual City of Hobart Dark Mofo Winter Feast.

In 2016, the season pass ($50) grants entry to each night of the feast, including Sunday. Single night tickets will be sold at the PW1 Box Office each day, from 4pm. Under 16s are eligible for free entry, but will need to register for a Season Pass online or obtain a single night ticket on the respective day, available from 4pm.

This is an outdoor event in Tasmania during Winter dress appropriately! Shelter is not guaranteed and entry is subject to capacity.

Saturday 18 June: $20
Sunday 19 June: Free

Entry each night after 8pm is free, but not guaranteed (and subject to capacity).
