Jetty fishing in St Helens is a popular activity for both locals and visitors alike. Given the nature of the way that the harbour is set out, there are many opportunities to go jetty fishing in Gorges Bay St Helens St Helens. The kids will love throwing in a line and trying to catch a fish in St Helens, on the beautiful East Coast of Tasmania. Georges Bay offers a wide variety of shore fishing options that range from sandy flats (where you may catch a flathead) to rocky shores as well as the many small jetties around the bay that offer great places t fish at low cost and that are especially good (and safe) for kids (please make sure children are always supervised around water). We recommend you use a small pot of berley to attract fish from a wide area to your fishing location and keep them there for your session. A small berley pot, or a handful of pellets and/or a small amount of tuna oil, is all that is needed to attract fish and should be dropped down just below the surface.
