Welcome to all competitors, family, friends and officials in Tasmania for the 2015 Oceania Orienteering Championships. The Carnival commences in Launceston where visitors will get to experience Launceston’s growing food and café scene, and visit some of Tasmania’s finest colonial villages and premier wine regions. From Launceston, the championships continue on the sunny East Coast of Tasmania in the small coastal fishing town of Swansea before moving further North East to another small coastal fishing and tourism town St Helens where the final weekend of racing will be held. In between , there is plenty of opportunity to check out the local cafes, local produce, sample local wines from local vineyards, explore untouched beaches and generally enjoy the relaxed, enviable Tasmanian lifestyle.
Following the Championships, Hobart will host the ‘Hobart Shorts’ being a a much more relaxed series of orienteering events in and around Hobart city.
